calculate_melt_value
Calculates precious metal melt value, fine content, unit rates, and buyer-offer comparisons for gold, silver, platinum, or palladium.
Takes: metal, purity and basis (karat or fineness), weight and unit (grams, pennyweights, troy ounces, ounces, kilograms, or grains), optional construction (solid, gold-filled, dental), custom spot price, and optional offer or fees.
Returns: melt value, fine metal content, unit breakdown, offer comparisons, and a prefilled PDF report link.
calculate_coin_value
Calculates melt value and fine-metal content for standard coins and rolls.
Takes: coin issue identifier, quantity or standard roll count, optional measured total weight in grams, optional custom spot price, and optional offer or fees.
Returns: coin melt value, total fine weight, issue details, offer comparisons, and a prefilled PDF report link.
find_coins
Searches native precious metal coin presets with issue years, metal specifications, and current melt values.
Takes: optional search query, metal filter (gold, silver, platinum, palladium), cursor, and page size.
Returns: matching coin presets with issue years, images, specifications, current value per coin, and pagination cursors.
get_coin
Retrieves full specifications and current melt value for a single coin preset.
Takes: coin identifier.
Returns: coin issue years, specifications, image URL, and a quantity-one melt calculation at current spot prices.
calculate_exchange
Calculates gold-to-silver or silver-to-gold exchange weight at current market quotes.
Takes: trade direction (gold to silver, or silver to gold), source weight and unit, optional sale discount, purchase premium, fees, and spot prices.
Returns: target metal exchange weight, ratio, effective rates, and a prefilled PDF report link.
calculate_penny_nickel
Calculates base metal melt value for pennies and nickels from count or scale weight using manual metal prices.
Takes: coin kind (penny or nickel), count or measured total grams, penny alloy (brass or zinc), and manual metal prices in USD per pound (copper, zinc, nickel).
Returns: alloy metal value, face value, constituent metal weights, and a prefilled PDF report link.
